Copper Ridge is the newest Southerland Communities development and is located off Hwy. 46 West in New Braunfels ETJ. It is a multi-phase, gated community on 850 acres with 596 home sites. It has a traditional Hill Country feel with many contemporary benefits. Southerland selected Matkin Hoover Engineering & Surveying as their Civil Engineer because of our relevant project experience. Copper Ridge is located over the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone enabling us to provide our environmentally friendly approach toward the land planning, flood studies, water quality analysis, and traffic impact studies Additionally, Matkin Hoover designed streets, drainage structures, elevated storage, public water supply improvements and a Tx-Dot left turn deceleration lane. Our office coordinated closely with New Braunfels Utilities for the design, construction and acceptance of the underground electric facilities and central water system improvements.
